Jeff Stein – President and Founder
Jeff founded Synectic Medical Product Development in 1981 and established the company as a recognized leader in medical device design and development. He brings extensive expertise in R & D planning, marketing, and patent strategies. Formerly an Engineering Manager for US Surgical Corporation and Director of Operations for Hospital Products Pty. Australia. Jeff serves on the Board of Directors for Gaylord Hospital.
Pam Zeller, Esq. – CFO
Pam works in the finance, legal and quality areas. Her background in medical product quality assurance and financial management, along with her training as an attorney, uniquely qualify her. Pam previously worked at US Surgical Corporation and Robinson and Cole, LLP.
David Stein, A.I.A. – Principal and Project Manager with Silver Petrucelli & Associates
David Stein has vast experience in educational projects and has worked closely as the Project Architect with many Connecticut public school systems. David's diversity extends to the retail and financial sectors including creating prototypical designs for Friendly's Ice Cream Corporation, First Union National Bank and People's Bank. David also leads as a Project Manager with the United States Navy, Naval Educational Training Station in Newport, Rhode Island, where David has designed and managed educational facilities and capital improvement projects for the entire base.
Rick Granger – Consultant, former Board Member
Rick has over 30 years of engineering and senior management experience in the medical device industry. He has served as Chief Executive Officer with Synectic, Board Member and remains as Consultant. Rick is well-versed in all aspects of medical device R&D, mechanical engineering, quality and product launch. Previously, he was with U.S. Surgical as VP of R&D. Most recently Rick was President at Valleylab, division of Tyco Healthcare.
Mort Diminstein, J.D. – Board Member
Mort has practiced small business law in Connecticut for almost 50 years. He has been Synectic's outside legal counsel since its inception, and brings a wealth of practical business and legal expertise to our board.
Steve Rudof – Board Member
Steve's 30 years of corporate financial and executive experience with Perkin Elmer Corp. is a valuable asset to Synectic's board. At Perkin Elmer he held positions as manager of Optical Group Financial Planning, Group Comptroller, Assistant to the President, and Director, Support Services and Environmental Affairs. During his tenure at Perkin Elmer Steve administered $800 million in pension and savings plan investments.
