February 9-11th the MACK/SYNECTIC team exhibited at the MD&M show in Anaheim, CA. Attendance was strong and it was great seeing many old faces as well as meeting our west coast clients face to face. We enjoyed having the whole MACK family together showing the wide range of services the company can provide. One of the highpoint of the show was the display of 3-D printed prototype molds, a technology that is being developed and tested between a partnership between Mack Molding and Synectic Engineering. These ABS 3-D printed molds allow injection molded materials to be used in the molding of quick, repeatable prototype parts. Recent projects were able to yield between 20-30 parts from the prototype tools. Several clients were unaware of this new method of prototype tooling and are anxious to learn more. SYNECTIC is working on a case study and will report the features and benefits of this new technology in an upcoming blog. Please visit our NEW website at www.sysnectic.net for that update on this new technology. Come visit us at the MD & M East, NYC June 14-16 Booth 1767.
